This bright and cheerful Daymark with a Seagull perched on top can’t fail to cheer you up! This sculpture is handcrafted from mostly salvaged materials using my unique methods and particular Posh Paper Mache mix - be sure to visit the Blog page of my website where you can see how my sculptures are made! This piece begins with wooden templates and is build up using newspaper. The work is varnished but will be ephemeral outdoors - my tests show they can remain happy for up to three years outside, which is a comparable lifespan to a willow sculpture - artwork should last indefinitely if placed inside. This feathered friend measures 20cm w by 35cm h approximately. Each piece is unique and will vary a little in appearance from the photos, meaning you will receive one with a distinctive character! Every one is made to order, individually sculpted then hand-painted and decoupaged with fun snippets from magazines or some of my hand-painted papers. My larger sculptures make a cheerful visual impact or you may prefer the mini versions which fit in a corner nicely! Concentrated heat e.g. placing your sculpture near a fire or radiator should be avoided, its construction uses hot glue which could possibly melt near a heat source. Why not have it personalised for free? There is space for a few words on it's body so that you can make it even more special by adding a name or significant phrase. Alternatively you can buy selected template designs from the “Make It Yourself” section of my website or book into a workshop with me if you would like to try making something with my guidance!
