At one time the home of my grandparents, mother and auntie, who still lives on the islands, my grandad Boase built the bungalow in the 1930’s for his family and filled his garden with small palms. The palm trees are now towering and iconic and have provided many a backdrop for family photographs over the years as well as a haven for the local bird population, in particular the tame sparrows, ubiquitous on the islands.
